FIRST STEP UNDER DINCHARYA

As the title say’s, let’s take a step towards health by knowing the importance of the first two karya's of Dincharya.

Waking up in BrahmaMahurata

Most of us are not a morning person but waking up in the  Brahma mahurata that is between 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM will lead us accomplishing our goals and  good health.

When we wake up early we get extra hours in the morning. The amount of work that a person does in 4 hours at any other time of the day, he/she will be able to complete it in just two hours  in the morning. Now this was just an example but trust me I have observed this myself. It’s ok to be lazy some days but not every day.

Studies have shown that our brain works more efficiently in the morning than at night. We have different professions, different kind of work routines, some of us are students and some still struggling with work but we all experience stress. There is no trick to wake up early but once you decide to do it and complete your tasks in the morning nobody can stop you. It will take 15 to 20 days to make it a habit. Nobody can make you wake up early unless you  decide to do it.

If you are thinking that after reading this you will suddenly get motivated and will  change your whole routine and  start waking up at 5. No! That’s not gonna happen.

All I can do is give you examples and can tell you the benefits of waking up in the Brahma Mahurata. You can observe it only when you will manage your routine work by adding this step in your life. This is the most important and difficult step.

If you still struggle to add this in your routine feel free to send me a mail I’m always there to help you.

MEANING OF BRAHMA MAHURATA

As the name says- The Time of God Brahma “The creators hour.”

It is the last phase of the night and is considered as an auspicious time for all practices. Some of you must be aware of the three dosha’s-

·   Vata

·     Pitta

·     Kafa

In Brahma Mahurata body is in vata phase and during this time our body can achieve a deeper meditative state. The vata dosha has 'chal' (movement) Guna and this Dosha of the body helps to work more efficiently.

So now you can relate how waking up in the the Brahma Mahurata can make you different from those who don't. There is something different about this period and you can only experience it when you will wake up in this period.

Now let’s talk about passing the urges.

How passing the urges is related to digestion?

According to dincharya after waking up one should pass the urges, this indicates that the food consumed is digested properly.
It is very important to take the meals on time and in right quantity for good digestion. Overeating or starving to loose weight both are not the healthy options.
Our stomach has four parts, out of which only two parts should be filled with food and one with water and one should be empty.
Eat only when you feel hungry, if you don't feel hungry that means your digestive system is not doing well and always keep a check on your water intake.

DIETING

Nowadays people think that if you have slim waist that means you are healthy, but it is a myth. Having slim waists, skinny figure doesn't mean you are healthy.

Your immunity, your eating habits, diet, physical workout, energy level decides your health and how strong you are, not a slim waist.

So people start dieting for this slim waist without actually knowing the meaning of diet. Not eating enough or controlling hunger will never take you a step closer towards loosing weight.

Everyone has different lifestyle, different work pattern and different eating habits. So by looking at others and following diet routines without thinking what your body actually needs will make you unhealthy.

I'm not saying you should not visit a dietician. If you want changes in your body parameters you should definitely consult one. A dietician never suggests to stop eating. Body lacks some vitamins or minerals or there are some other imbalances, could be related to one's lifestyle as well and then a diet chart is designed for a person. It depends on your work routine and dietary habits.

So start eating in a right way as I already mentioned above-

• Two parts should be filled with food

•One part with water

•One should be kept empty

And if you are passing the urges after waking up that means your digestive system is doing well.

If you are eating right food in right amount and at the right time, that means you said goodbye to many health problems.

Now as you are aware about the first two karya's under dincharya, you should practice them and take a step towards good health.

I would love to hear from you about your experience and how ayurveda is bringing difference in your life.

Apply it, observe it and then say , YES AYURVEDA.

Thank You for reading.

Stay healthy and happy.
